The Tax Man and Your Health

You have to hand it to the Obama administration and Congressional Democrats. They can come up with the most ingenious ways of restricting liberty and unleashing the iron hand of government upon the citizenry. The new health care law is very effective at limiting decision making by doctors. It does nothing to address the doctor shortage, but it sure has given new vigor to the IRS. Not only does the law provide for the largest increase in IRS agents in over 50 years, but it also has at least on deputy commissioner excited about the prospect of withholding refunds for people do not prove they have purchased health insurance. Aren't these the same people who are so fond of slogans such as "keep your laws off my body?"
