Gabrielle Giffords supposedly representing Arizona's 8th Congressional District finally appeared before her constituents last night. However, despite an overwhelming message from those in attendance to abandon Obamacare she defiantly stated that she will continue to support the "public option." Neither did she shy away from using the Left's favorite talking points including the inflated number of uninsured in the United States, now 50 million. She took shots at insurers, paid lip service to tort reform, and even got a little huffy with some of her more vocal critics threatening to shut the meeting down.
The event drew in excess of 2500 people. However, since the Saguaro High School auditorium seats only 1500, the remainder were relegated to outdoor seating and an audio-visual feed of the events inside.
Below are pictures of constituents lining up outside the auditorium before the 2 hour town hall event. While the Obamacare supporters were greatly outnumbered by the opponents of government run medicine they tried to compensate using tried and true liberal "community organizing" tactics. Indeed, SEIU goons were on hand to provide the astroturf, issuing identical manufactured signs and stickers to their socialist sympathizing friends in the crowd.
Oh, and who was the doofus dressed up as a doctor defending the "public option" using AMA propaganda? If he is a doctor does he really think he's going to cut red tape and hassle by working for the government?
