Quote of the Year?

Last week in Israel President Bush delineated the difference in thought between those who are and those who are not prepared to protect America …like a laser beam.

"Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: 'Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.' We have an obligation to call this what it is -- the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history."

The extent to which the American left and their media allies came unglued automatically propels the excerpt to the top of the list for the SL quote of the year. Hopefully, the electorate will take it to heart so that a President 70 years from now will not be compelled to utter Tehran in the same sentence with Munich.
