iPS Gaining Acceptance

Induced pluripotent stem (iPS) the recent technology by which stem cell lines can be created without the destruction of embryos is gaining traction. Undoubtedly, challenges remain before iPS reaches the clinic. Nevertheless, this is great news for scientists truly interested in pursuing medical cures while minimizing ethical concerns. It may not be all that welcome by those primarily interested in promoting their utilitarian political agenda.
