It's Official, Rudy is Out

Rudy is now officially in the unacceptable column of potential Republican Presidential hopefuls. In his attempt to make his position on abortion clearer, he stepped off the cliff. Reaffirming his belief that abortion is “morally wrong”, yet looking approvingly on the right of a woman to have her unborn child killed is not the way to alleviate conservative voter concerns.

The only compromise pro-life and pro-family conservatives might allow is just the opposite. That being a candidate who believes that abortion is acceptable under some conditions but that Roe v. Wade was a horrible law with no basis in the Constitution and needs to be overturned. At least then the people could decide under what circumstance abortions might occur within their own States.

By the way, how does one clarify a position that believes killing an unborn baby is morally wrong, but that supporting societal mechanisms that promote the same practice are acceptable? Political gobbledygook if there ever was such a thing.
