Finding a Scapegoat

Michael Fumento’s recent article in the American Spectator reveals the essence of much of the pseudo-science surrounding the current obesity epidemic. There has been a scramble to identify something on which to blame our increasing girth other than the obvious excess in calorie consumption and decreasing physical acitivity. If this “cause” for obesity can be linked to industry, capitalism or a Republican president, so much the better.
